Karl Thornton - President

Karl Thornton has over 25 years as an Information Technology Manager and Educator. With more than a decade of experience delivering major projects, strategic, and technology plans for libraries, schools, and social service organizations nationally; Mr. Thornton is responsible for managing all aspects of AWE’s business operations. Mr. Thornton has degrees in Computer Science, Education, and Business from the University of Pennsylvania.

John Louchheim - Vice President, Sales and Marketing

John Louchheim has 20 year’s successful experience as an entrepreneur in technology-related business sandwiched between two 5-year stints as a teacher, bringing technology into classrooms in manageable, cost-effective ways. Since 2006, he has attracted and managed an effective business development team to promote the Early Literacy Station™ and has established marketing programs to support growth of the company into new marketplaces. Mr. Louchheim has a BA from Yale University.

Steve Russell - Vice President, Business Development and Client Services

Steve Russell, co-founder of AWE, has over 26 years of information systems background in all aspects of the technology industry. Mr. Russell is responsible for managing all aspects of AWE’s customer service and business development initiatives. Mr. Russell has worked for market leaders like SmithKline Beecham; Sun Company; SUNGuard Data Systems; Wang Laboratories and Digital Equipment Corporation.

William Hoffner - Chief Technology Officer

William Hoffner brings over 25 years of progressive technical excellence to AWE. Mr. Hoffner has provided senior level technical consulting to libraries, non-profits, multiple businesses, and other clients. At AWE, Mr. Hoffner is responsible for the technical product development of the Library Information Station™, Early Literacy Station™, and NetCare offerings.

George Lokken - Chief Financial Officer

George Lokken has over 25 years of Finance and Accounting Management experience. Mr. Lokken is responsible for managing AWE financial operations. Mr. Lokken has his Accounting Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and MBA from Widner University.
